Once I had analyzed my greatest strength, it was time to focus on the weaknesses. I again referred to the Tarot Bible and found this spread on page 263.
Here is the outcome:
1. Current Weakness: Page of Cups
Element: Water / Emotions
I guess I should have seen this coming. Its so obvious. I tend to fall in love all too easily and end up getting hurt! Too emotionally sensitive. The Page is immature and young. He cant quite grasp this emotional intensity. Look at the he is tentatively holding the cup of emotions. Well, I guess this is the most true mirror I have to myself!
2. What will help overcome it: 3 of wands
Element: Fire / Passion
The 3 of wands is reminding me of contemplation. The wands are urging me to follow my passion, but after considering all the possibilties. I must start any new relationship with caution and try and understand what I am getting into.
3. New Direction: Knight of Pentacles
Element: Earth / Tangible Resources
Finally, the Knight of Pentacles. A dark, serious card. It reminds me to take tentative steps with caution and prudence. Be slow to love. Understand what I am getting into and not fly into anything. Look at his horse too. Its still. The Knight is holding the pentacle in contemplation again! What a beautiful message throughout the spread.
Until next time!

Greatest Strengths Layout (13 Nov 2012)
Diwali evening was an interesting time to do some readings! And they certainly proved very interesting themselves. I started with charging my cards and had the Vishnu Sahasranam playing very gently in the background. The sounds of the firecrackers and patakas going off in the background, far from being annoying, was actually quite envigorating. On a tummy full of diwali sweets and having just completed our evening Laxmi pooja, I plonked myself on the bed and laid out my cards to do some readings after a long time.
Here is the first one. I sourced these from the Tarot Bible (Sarah Bartlett) and this one is located on pg 262.
2 cups, 1 wand and the Sun!
The positions and my interpretations are as follows:
1. Current Strength: Knight of Wands
Element: Fire / Passion
Coming at this time, perhaps it is an indicator that my strength is the ability to act on my passion, represents perfectly my adventurous spirit, albeit sometimes a little foolhardy too. Perhaps it also signifies my belief in my passion in a way.
2. How can I utilize it: Ace of Cups
Elements: Water / Emotions
I know Aces usually signify new beginnings and most certainly Aces of Cups signify news beginnings in Love, Relationships etc. But somehow for some strange reason, I felt it was asking me to use my strength of acting on my passion in generating new ideas of working with my passion.
3. The road that will lead to it: 6 of cups
Elements: Water / Emotions
Again Cups! Well, either I am going to fall in love with a person or an idea for sure. But I interpret this card to mean re-connecting with friends, acquaintainces, childhood friends and networking in general. Perhaps if I need to fall in love with an idea and act on it, I need to network and re-connect with people who can assist me!
4. The strength I need to develop: Sun
Wow! Go forth & conquer....makes perfect sense doesnt it! And its such a positive card! Its such a direction oriented card. Perhaps the strength I need right now is to take some steps, rather have the courage to take some steps in the direction of my passion!
Nice & positive reading, I'd say!

The Magic of the Tarot
Am completely enchanted by this science of divination! What mysteries it holds! The magic held in these cards and the rich symbolism has mesmerized scores of people over the ages and I am a farly new convert to this magical world!
As a beginner and a student of this divinatory art, I hope to be able to use this blog to record my personal readings, significant revelations (personal of course) and maintain a general record of what the cards communicated. I hope to be able to use this blog as guide for all my readings and enrich my current knowledge of the tarot as well.
My deck currently is the rider-waite deck, one of the most universally accepted tarot deck and this blog is dedicated to my teacher, SK! Await your comments please!
Cheers!
